And you\u2019d think with their $100K debts in exchange for some kind of \u201cLiberal Arts\u201d degree – like (gah!) \u201cGender Studies\u201d they\u2019d have to take enough English, art, history, sculpture\u2026 Enough various arts, crafts, storytelling, writing classes to be naturally EXCELLENT at telling good stories. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Burroughs… Most of these fake “Liberals” have his books on the shelves, often still in plastic. G-d help them if they legit read him…<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The predecessors of such stereotypes – the Hippies\/Yippies, the Beatniks even before – they told EXCELLENT stories and produced incredible art and music. Back in times when racism was dominant and sexism was so ingrained it was normal not an issue (40s to early 60s) writers and publishers risked their necks publishing works by women and non-white writers (under masculine and Anglicized pen names) and fought for free speech when the overall public will was against it. That’s REAL social progress, stuff that took REAL ballz – not “Fashionably Radical” fake movement stuff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now it\u2019s \u2018traditional\u2019 that one artist (storyteller, musician, writer, artist) should NOT insult another\u2019s works – so I won\u2019t cite specific examples. Being a storyteller\/writer (and illustrator\/CG artist) I need to obey that \u2018rule\u2019 but really it should be obvious and if not I don\u2019t want to advertise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Disclaimer – images from books\/art\/comics I might post are \u201cFair use\/Reference only\u201d and are NOT to be examples of published fictions with a \u201cSocial Justice\u201d message I might dislike or hate – if I post a pic its what I LIKE and that doesn\u2019t mean they approve of me, endorse me or vice versa\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Frankly I don\u2019t think I have to post anything\u2026as far as any direct references to “Social Justice” themed or converged works…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We all know a work that stinks of modern \u201cSocial Justice\u201d and how to see it a mile away – even if one of them slithered out of college and a rich, well connected friend\/family member just GAVE them a job that most (starting in the 70s onward) had worked decades to be worthy of. And how even with the best REAL writers and artists at their disposal told SUCK stories and ruined great franchises in film and comics, leaving a wreckage of the legacy just to SHIT \u201cSocial Justice Warrior\u201d politics into them\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well I say \u201cSocial Justice Warriors\u201d can NOT tell a good story – we all know that – but isn\u2019t it a wonder why it is so, even when their predecessors were excellent!?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the surface it is very simple – they tell the SAME story\u2026
The story is \u201cSocial Justice\u201d – a nebulous chewed up and EXCRETED distillation of ideals of the past. Its reverse racism, false ideals, Stalinist or rather Pol-Pot level Communism mixed in with toxic hatred and the expectations of a \u201cYellow Submarine\u201d fantasy of when the band plays the tune the day is won\u2026but the \u2018ideal\u2019 world is a brutal stalinist \u2018pepperland\u2019 just with everyone having the right colors and smiles and Death Setence for those that don\u2019t conform. But oh, the world is unjust because a few WHITE MEN run around and that\u2019s the reason – the White Men need to be unpowered, killed off or converted to CUCKS that crawl around in ballet tutus as big dark skinned men mount their wives and spit\/kick on them as they apologize for how evil white men were\u2026 (somehow this is NOT racist\u2026long as the white man is bottom?) oh, and how the only real talent comes from non-white people, at least women if any \u2018white\u2019 ones are allowed and how they\u2019ve all been stolen from – but they have to be \u2018good\u2019 non-whites, for this ideology or they are \u2018race traitors\u2019 and deserve extermination at best\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Imagine a Shag-a-Delic 60s era poster painted with glowing radioactive waste that depicts Pol-Pot purging \u201cTraitors to the Revolution\u201d with a pickaxe to the skull and the artist died halfway through making it and threw up as he fell over\u2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ideology can change in a heartbeat, but somehow we can tell it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In short – it is the SAME story and we all know it – especially the \u201cSocial Justice\u201d crowd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now – I\u2019m not even saying all stories have to be different. Sometimes you DO tell the \u201cSame Story\u201d but it\u2019s how you tell it. The \u201cHero’s Journey\u201d is the best example of this – from ancient myth then made mainstream again due to Campbell\u2019s mythic studies books<\/a> influencing guys like George Lucas to make his 70s \u201cStar Wars\u201d movie\u2026 No, Star Wars was NOT original. Lucas was scared he\u2019d be sued by whoever fed off the corpse of E. E. \u201cDoc\u201d Smith – to begin with – not to mention the \u201cBande Dessine\u201d european comics so awesome at the time and only shortly to be imported to the USA via Heavy Metal\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A more modern example is the Vampire Hunter D movie (and books, a few comics)<\/a> – pure \u201cStyle over Substance\u201d but done with such perfection as to be entertaining and iconic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I LOOOVE this series – even the books with a bit of “All your Base…” level translation – again “Style over substance” but done just perfectly!<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

So how can a group of people with huge debt for advanced \u201cLiberal Arts\u201d degree FUCK UP so bad and make SUCK stories with so iconic a plot? (social justice, need to overthrow shackles of the past, make a bright beautiful future by any means)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because when you tell the same story it has to be something you can tell in your own way, something you can play with the fabric of. The Hero sometimes can dive right in versus refuse the quest before accepting it. The Hero\u2019s magic weapon might be a sword he carved from the spine of an iron dragon with one of its crystal eyes or it might be an ultratech but ancient energy blade. The cave could be the castle of the wizard or the space station of the evil corrupted and fallen space warrior. The means of telling could be from the heroe\u2019s perspective or some narrator or the vision of ancient \u201cDroids\u201d that follow him and later his predecessor and successors\u2026 The \u201cCave\u201d he dives into could be one adventure or many – perhaps when he chases the wizard to the \u2018tower\u2019 its revealed to be only one cycle in a much larger one\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
